Gaboon Marine Plywood to BS1088 1 2003 Lloyds Approved B BB

Gaboon Marine Plywood BS1088, Lloyds Approved, B/BB , is manufactured from tropical hardwood veneers throughout, normally bonded together with phenol formaldehyde adhesive. The tropical hardwood is Gaboon species throughout. This panel is “Lightweight” class marine panel having exceptional resistance to loss of bond strength over time. Gaboon is a medium density timber ideal where stability and flatness are primary considerations.

Gaboon Marine Plywood BS1088, Lloyds Approved, B/BB is also known as Okoume plywood is intended for use in the construction of marine craft and high class furniture in the marine environment. it is regularly used in the manufacture of yachts and other vehicles where a lightweight plywood product is required that takes surface finishes well, or where a guaranteed exterior performance is a necessity. Other exterior applications where this type of plywood is regularly used include the manufacture of external window shutters, or other parts of buildings, such as external facades and claddings. It is also used in other applications such as furniture, musical instruments and packaging.

Because this plywood takes paint and other surface coatings very well, it is often used to achieve high quality coloured or clear lacquered finishes. It is also available prelaminated with high quality films for further decoration or silk screen printing.
